PIECES: Policy Investigation in Europe on Child Endangerment and Support

What is PIECES?

PIECES is a 2 year initiative led and coordinated by the European Child Safety Alliance in partnership with experts in Austria, France, Lithuania, Romania, Spain and the United Kingdom. The project is supported by the European Commission DG Justice DAPHNE programme. The purpose of the project is to conduct in-depth investigations of select policy issues in violence against children in the EU28, in order to provide a better understanding of how those policies are being implemented, monitored and evaluated. The project will also assist in further defining good practice in the field of children and violence.

The project will run from April 15, 2013 to April 14, 2015 and builds on the work of past EC funded projects such as TACTICS (Tools to Address Childhood Trauma, Injury and Children’s Safety running 2011- 2014).
